Many choose to use decoys as an opportunity-multiplier.  Indulge me...

Moose respond extremely well, during the rut, to cow calling and scents.  Properly performed, cow calling can bring in moose from miles away.  Calling, used in conjunction with a cow-in-heat scent and a decoy.....well now, that just about accounts for all the senses that bullwinkle uses to get him up-close and personal to his lady.  This combination will be deadly on the unsuspecting bull.  Granted, I have not yet field tested this product, as I received it in May of 2005.  However, I will not be going into the field without it, this coming season.  Can't you feel the confidence?

The decoy comes in 3 pieces - polyester fabric, with a picture quality print, covering a spring steel frame (similar to a band saw blade) and 2 leg poles.  The frame folds by twisting the bands until all that remains is a section no larger than the head.   The leg poles are fashioned after tent-poles in that they are assembled similar to shock-corded tent-pole sections.  After unfolding the frame, the leg-poles are inserted into channels sewn into the fabric.  The leg poles have foot-spurs on them, allowing you to sink the poles into the ground using your feet.

You can imagine that this decoy is light and easy to set up.  I say, trust your imagination on this one, 'cause you won't be wrong.  This decoy moves with the wind, during periods of light wind, use the wind to your advantage to create a moving decoy.  During periods of stronger winds take care to position the decoy so that it's face is 90 degrees to the wind and back it up with trees or other natural vegetation.
